要判斷文章的主要大意，需要看選項歸納性、全面性，不能選擇片面的，含義絕對的選項。此條原則也適用于閱讀理解同類題目。

1、 平行原則，要同類，如詞性、結構等。

e.g. Agriculture necessitated the storage of seed stock, the division of labor, and allocating land. (句子賓語出現兩個名詞結構，最后是"allocating"這樣的動詞現在分詞，明顯是不平行)。

2、 某些明顯錯誤，如 "may have travel", "between my brother and I". "there behavior". "pushed she"等要在句子中根據自己語言常識和語感做出判斷。

3、 連系動詞+形容詞，如remain, seem, smell, look, appear, feel等，(remain+strongly為錯誤)

4、 副詞修飾"形容詞"(ly為后綴的此類一般為副詞)

e.g. "a neutrally country"錯誤因為副詞不能修飾名詞。

5、 Each of , Either of , neither of為單數，both of 為復數。 all of, some of取決于后面的名詞詞性，如果是可數名詞，就用復數，否則就用單數。"Either blacks or whites "為錯誤，要改為 "both blacks and whites".

6、 某些抽象名詞為不可數，如a given piece of land, information, news, advice

7、 某些特殊的結構："it" 結構，"Given" (表示從……看，相當于"Considering")

e.g.: Lindebergh flew without a co-pilot, an extremely risky undertaking despite the duration of the flight and the exhaustion… (改為"given". )

8、 名詞、代詞數要統一

e.g.. The Dada movement had lost much of their impetus by the early 1920s. (主語是單數，代詞也要用單數，"their"要改為"its")

9、 文章排序先確定首尾。要根據選項提示判斷首句，尾句。
