通過對《劍橋雅思真題》1-7的分析，并結合各位雅思考生的考試回憶后發現，雅思聽力內容中涉及了很大程度的國外文化背景知識的先容。雅思聽內容主要是圍繞著在英國或澳大利亞的生活和學習展開的。比如Section1&2一般以生活場景為主，如：租房、口試、旅游等。在Section1中，最常出現的場景有：租房場景(house renting)，經常會涉及到房屋樣式(house type)、付款方式(ways of payment)、周邊環境(environment)、內部設施(facilities)、房客的住房要求(requirements)及房東的租房規則(house rules)等話題討論。而section 3&4則一般是以學習場景和科普內容為主。比如在section 3中，常見的場景包括：新學校先容，課程安排先容，選課咨詢。內容經常涉及：學校設施 (teaching facilities)和師資氣力(teacher resources)的先容，學生或教授關于一個課題的研究(course research)，調查報告(survey)，論文(dissertation)和學習方法(learning methods)的討論。

主要是在課外研究一些小的項目，小的調查研究，包括對學校里各個地方，食品(咖啡，小吃)等的價格的比較，這些看似不屑一顧的東西，這也是與文化背景有關系的，外國人注重人的實踐能力。

這部分主要注意聽力，特別關注的是研究方法、方法優缺點、研究步驟、個人觀點等。
